Answer:
Sheet C6, Trail Surface Restoration Detail, Note 3, states that the costs for disposal of additional material from the embankment removal not utilized for trail surface restoration shall be included in the contractor’s bid price. Some calculation is needed to determine the quantity to be removed from the site. During Design 25,000 CY (max) of material was estimated to be excavated out from the embankment and about 7,500 CY of material will be reused for the trail resurfacing (~30% will be resurfacing material and ~70% will have to be disposed). |
