THERE IS AN ALLOWANCE ITEM FOR CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE OF EROSION CONTROLS BUT THERE ARE NO ITEMS FOR EROSION CONTROL ITEMS. PLEASE CLARIFY.
Answer:
Plan Sheet 6, General note 20 requires compost filter sock around all excavated areas and stockpile areas. There is no pay item as it is included in the lump sum price for the respective bridge, per Lump Sum Note on Sheet 6.

Please clarify if the Contractor is responsible for the permit fee to ConnDOT. If so, how much is the fee?
Answer:
No fee is required to be paid by the Contractor for the ConnDOT permit as RIDOT is the agency requesting the permit. The Contractor is only required to provide the information as noted on CS-12 and Appendix the CS pages and Appendices C & D in the Contract Book.

Relocate Existing Median Barrier for Bridge 850 is paid for under Item 926.9901.

Please clarify when notice to proceed will be used since the completion date is November 2018. Please clarify that the completion dates are correct since notice to proceed can occur in July 2018 if DOT takes the 60 days in the contract.
Answer:
We cannot anticipate when NTP will be given. The repair work in this repair contract must be completed by the completion dates stated in the contract.
