Closures are considered to be incidental to the work. The horizontal pay limits are as shown on the individual bridge plans and the vertical limits (at fascia overhangs and return walls) are as detailed on Sheet 72. |

Does the cold planning and paving get complete within each phase or does it get completed after all the phases are completed. If it is after all the phases are completed, the pavement on the new joints would have to be cold planned and paved to allow for a smooth transition. |

The intent is for cold planning and final paving to take place after all of the phases are completed. The DOQ includes additional pavement quantities to account for the “sacrificial” pavement that must be placed at the end of each phase, but will be removed under final cold planning & paving. |
