Question: Sheet 3, Note 6 of the Plans states, “Payment for grinding, testing, priming, and painting shall be considered incidental to item No. 824.9901 “Heat Straightening and Repair of Collision Damaged Girders”. However there is no Special Provision or Pay Item included in the bid documents. Furthermore, the Plans do not indicate where the heat straightening is required. Please advise. Thank you. |

Answer: There is no heat straightening included in this contract. Note 6 should have been deleted from the plan sheet. The payment for the grinding, testing, priming and painting should be included in the lump sum price submitted to complete the repairs shown in this contract. |
