Question:
In reference to the bonding & insurance paragraph, is an individual bond required for each work order or will a higher limit bond covering the total of all work orders be sufficient and what is the term required for the bonds? |
|
Answer:
As stated on Page 2 of the Specifications under the section entitled “Bonding and Insurance”: Successful Bidders shall furnish a Performance Bond covering one hundred percent (100%) of the contract Work Order price for all Work Orders. To further clarify, the Performance Bond is not required until a bidder is identified as the apparent low bidder of a “mini-bid”. The bidder shall provide the required bonding and insurance as stated in the specifications as part of the post-qualification phase in order to be named the successful bidder and receive a Purchase Order and Notice to Proceed. |
