Answer:
Since this project doesn't not involve working with Children, Elderly, or Disabled Persons, Physical Abuse and Molestation Liability Insurance is NOT required.

Regarding emergency egress requirements, as discussed under item 3.4 on page 6 of the RFP, is a plan of the entire existing platform level available?
Answer:
Since the 30% design was completed, additional information and concepts were discussed with Amtrak, including platform level refuge areas. The Design Consultant would create a design to satisfy Emergency Egress requirements.

Page 21 of the RFP references "Amtrak Bathroom Design Plan Set" as an attachment. Is there specific information available on this topic, beyond Slide 18 on the Powerpoint titled "RFP 7606827 12.10.2019 PVD HSIPR PE Annotated.pptx" that was distributed with the RFP material?
Answer:
File 20180914 AMTRAK RESTROOM PE.pdf is the only file RIDOT received from Amtrak prior to issuing the RFP. The selected Design Consultant can request additional information regarding this design during the project kick-off meeting. File 20180914 AMTRAK RESTROOM PE.pdf (SK-1 and SK-3) will be included in Addendum #3.

1. Is any Hazardous Building Material Inspection (HBMI) information available for the existing station? 2. In the RFP, Task 5.2 and Task 5.4 are both listed as “Attend Coordination Meetings”. Is there a missing task under Construction Phase Services? Thank you very much.
Answer:
RIDOT is not aware of any existing Hazardous Material Reports for the Station. However,upon contract award, Amtrak will be part of the project kick-off and any documents they have related to hazardous materials will be provided. Task 5.2 and Task5.4 was a miss print and added twice. No other task is needed.
