Product Evaluation

The Product Evaluation Unit is responsible for approving products and processes for use on RIDOT highway construction projects. Determinations are made based on compatibility with Department standards and specifications, tested properties, performance history and suitablity to specific applications.

• For vendors wishing to submit a new product or process (or re-submit a modified existing one), the New Product, Material, Equipment or Process Form is here. The instructions for submissions are here.
• For companies wishing to submit a concrete sealer, specific testing must be performed in accordance with AASHTO/ ASTM standards (as modified by RIDOT) and the results provided with the appplcation for approval. The procedure can be downloaded here.
