The Rhode Island Department of Transportation's next rapid bridge replacement is the Tefft Hill Trail Bridge on I-95 in Exeter.

RIDOT will soon need to close the highway for a weekend to complete the work.

This approach will save nearly $1 million and four months of delays as compared with traditional construction methods.

This closure is tentatively scheduled to begin at 9:00 p.m. on Friday, October 13, with all travel lanes reopened at 5:00 a.m. Monday, October 16. During the closure, all northbound traffic will be required to take Exit 4 to Route 3 north. Trucks will get back onto I-95 using the Exit 5/Route 102 interchange in West Greenwich. Passenger vehicles will continue along Route 3 north and use the Exit 6 interchange, also in West Greenwich.
