Listen to RIDOT's Radio Traffic Reports on your computer before you leave work! RIDOT has six permanent low frequency radio transmitters, as well as a portable transmitter, to provide traffic updates. Tune in to 1630 AM on your route.
During parades and special events such as bicycle and road races, motorists may encounter delays due to closed roads or lanes. Generally, parades involve a full roadway closure with a detour. With bicycle or road races, lanes or shoulders may be closed and motorists should use caution making turns when sharing the roadway with a race course.
RIDOT recommends seeking alternate routes during these special events. Please direct any questions or comments to the Department's Customer Service office on weekdays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at 401-222-2450.
