Question:
Does the existing culvert have a weight capacity for equipment? or will separate access from the south end of the culvert need to be used? |
|
Answer:
The existing culvert was designed for H-20 Loading and the current load rating indicates that the structure can satisfactorily carry this loading (20 Ton maximum). If the Contractor should propose to utilize any equipment to cross the structure that has loading that would exceed the H-20 axle loads, then they will be required to provide rating calculations to certify that the structure can support that loading. Otherwise, that equipment shall not be allowed to cross over the structure. |
