Washington Bridge & I-195, East Providence/ProvidenceBypass lanes for I-195 West traffic from East Providence to Providence remain open. This temporary traffic pattern allows three lanes of travel eastbound and three lanes of travel westbound – all operating on the eastbound Washington Bridge. Expect delays.
East Providence/Providence: I-195 East, from Exit 1A to Exit 2A, up to two lanes closed for drainage work, Sun. – Thurs. nights, 9 p.m. – 5 a.m. One lane will be closed at 9 p.m., then two lanes will be closed at 10 p.m.

I-95 North Viaduct, ProvidenceProvidence: I-95 North motorists are using a new traffic pattern after the Downtown exit and near Providence Place Mall with a newly relocated Exit 38, about one mile south of its former location. RIDOT has posted numerous signs to guide motorists to their destinations.
Providence: The ramp from Rte. 6 East to I-95 North, and the ramp from Memorial Blvd. to I-95 North will be temporarily closed for bridge work, Sun. night, 10 p.m. – 5 a.m. and Mon. night, 11 p.m. – 5 a.m. Follow signed detours.
Providence: I-95 North, from Exit 36A to Exit 39A, alternating lane closures road work, Tues. – Thurs. night, 9 p.m. – 6 a.m.
Cranston: All travel lanes on I-95 North and South at Route 10 have shifted to the right through 2026.
Providence: All travel lanes are shifted to the right on I-95 North, between the Rte. 10/Elmwood Ave. off-ramp (Exit 33) and the Thurbers Ave. off-ramp (Exit 35), for replacement of the Broad and Eddy St. Bridges in Providence through 2027. Learn more.

Reconstruction of Route 146 (Lincoln/North Smithfield)North Smithfield: A lane split is in place on Rte. 146 North and South just before the Sayles Hill Rd. intersection. Rte. 146 through-traffic will continue straight over the new portion of the Sayles Hill Rd. flyover in the left lane. Sayles Hill Rd. traffic, local turns, and wide loads are directed to the right lane. Both lanes continue north through Rte. 146.

Cumberland: On Mon. night (Dec. 15) from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., RIDOT will temporarily close Newell Bridge in Cumberland for the installation of the final bridge beam. When the bridge reopens on Tuesday morning, both lanes will be restored to their full width. Lanes have been narrowed because of construction. Learn more.
Cumberland: We have shifted traffic onto the newly constructed south side of the Mendon Road Bridge on Rte. 122. One lane in each direction will be maintained on the bridge through fall 2025.
Foster: Alternating one-way traffic with a temporary traffic signal at the Moosup Valley Rd. Bridge, from Potter Rd. to the Tyler Free Library, will remain in place until further notice. Learn more.
