Item 824.9925 - Please clarify how many brace diaphragms need to removed and replaced. Also clarify the location of the diaphragms. |

Answer:
There are four cross braces as identified on plan sheet 6. Type 2 repairs require removal of cross brace to perform the weld repair and are identified as Type 2 (there are 3 locations at Bridge 074801 and 1 location at Bridge 074821). Repair Type 2A is similar to the Type 2 repair in that it’s a weld repair at in intermediate stiffener but with no cross brace. |
