• New Traffic Pattern: Bypass lanes for I-195 West traffic from East Providence to Providence are open. This temporary traffic pattern allows three lanes of travel eastbound and three lanes of travel westbound – all operating on the eastbound Washington Bridge. Expect delays.

Reconstruction of Route 146 (Lincoln/North Smithfield)

Weekday

• Providence: Allens Ave., from Henderson St. to Globe St., right lane closure for road work, Mon. – Fri., 6 a.m. – 6 p.m. This operation will be active from April 22 – May 17.

East Bay Bike Path Bridges

• Barrington/Warren: Rte. 114, at the Barrington and Warren Bridges, the northbound boardwalks will remain open during demolition and construction of the bike path bridges, providing a continuous off-road path around the construction area.

Newport Pell Bridge Approaches - Phase II

• Newport: Route 138 East, up to Admiral Kalbfus Rd., including the roundabout and JT Connell Highway toward Van Zandt and America’s Cup avenues, and Route 138 West back toward the Pell Bridge, alternating lane closures for milling & paving, Sun. – Thurs. nights, 8 p.m. – 6 a.m. through May 24.

Weekday

• Middletown: Rte. 138 (Aquidneck Ave.), at #28, alternating one-way traffic for wheelchair ramp installation, Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.

New Traffic Pattern

• Burrillville: Rte. 102, between Rte. 107 (East Ave.) and Central St., all traffic is shifting to the southbound side of the bridge through late June.

Weekday

• North Smithfield/Burrillville: Rte. 7, from North Smithfield/Burrillville line to Smithfield line, motorists should use caution as crews will be conducting drainage work in a moving operation, Mon. – Fri., 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Right lanes may be closed as needed.
