The Project

RIDOT is making major improvements to School Street in Lincoln.  These will require closing the road from Old River Road (Route 126) to Main Street in Albion weekdays from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. starting Thursday, May 22 and extending through December 2025.  Local traffic will be permitted.

Vehicles are asked to follow the signed detours.  In addition, residents may not be able to access their driveways at times. The town parking lot on Berkshire Drive will be made available for temporary parking.

  • From Albion Road toward Old River Road – Use Mendon Road and the follow the detour through Manville or via George Washington Highway.

The project includes water and sewer line replacement, American Disabilities Act (ADA) compliance for existing sidewalks and curbs, and complete repaving.
